The Fair Repair Foundation is a group of people, associations and organisations working to put the Right to Repair and sustainability into action. Our Fair Repairers possess the key to steering society in the proper direction: toward a happy existence within the constraints of man and earth.
Our goal is to protect ownership rights and the liberty of consumers and businesses to freely select the sources they want to use for trade, Maintenance, and Repair.
Together with our members, supporters, and other players in civil society, we want to be a strong lobby for the Right To Repair legislation in India.
We encourage volunteers, activists, and the Fair Repair Foundation's members to get involved in the development of campaigns, projects, or other initiatives in order to take ownership and actively participate in making decisions that affect the Right To Repair legislation in India.
We want to create an ecosystem where you all can come together to develop the abilities and willingness to take action for the repair and maintenance industry.
We fulfil our objective by representing communities engaged in Right To Repair activities and by offering information and resources to assist the endeavors of individuals, businesses, and manufacturers.
“Fair Repair works to bridge the gap between independent businesses and manufacturers.”
We invite all motorheads and enthusiasts of the Right to Repair movement to join the Fair Repair Foundation. Use your expertise to influence lawmakers on behalf your Right to Repair act. Regain your Right to Repair and take complete ownership of your vehicle.

Increasing product complexity, technical constraints, and regulations have steadily limited users’ capacity to experiment.
Combining my love for Mobility + Tech, I co-founded Campfire (PLM technology for automotive), CarZ (multi-brand car repair network in India), Autorox (tech for the independent auto repair ecosystem used in 30+ countries) & Autozilla (auto spares marketplace in India). For over a decade, I've been building auto repair related businesses and continue to actively shape Autorox & Autozilla.
Working closely with thousands of independent repairers across India and overseas, we've gotten unique insights into the challenges faced by vehicle owners, independent automotive repairers and the entire repair ecosystem. The Indian auto aftermarket is anti-competitive (as are many other markets globally). We lack a level playing field. As consumers, we lack freedom of choice of repair.
Inspired by similar initiatives globally, we've chosen to fight for our right to Fair Repair in India. We've combined our love for storytelling with inspiration from Manga (and Tinkle - our home grown cartoon series) to deliver this unique compilation of resources on Fair Repair to demystify the challenges, the opportunities and the regulatory framework.
Please join us in spreading awareness by sharing this website and on social media using #FairRepairIN.
I've been drawing for a good part of my life. I'm drawn to projects that allow me to use my creative skills. Being able to use art as a medium to explain something so important and complex in a fun and easy way is what piqued my interest to take part in this initiative.
